THE BOHUSLAV MARTINŮ COMPLETE EDITION

Edition Schedule

The complete work of Bohuslav Martinů is planned to be published in about 100 volumes of the complete edition. Each volume consists of 200–300 pages of sheet music, and therefore the following factors play a role in dividing the compositions into individual volumes:

• suitable combination of works according to types and genres

• source situation

• publishing situation and sublicense conditions

• editor

As of 2023, 12 volumes have been published and 10 more volumes are being developed that meet the given criteria. The publishing plan may change due to the source situation (new findings or newly identified missing sources) and other factors. For this reason, volumes may change their order or, in more serious circumstances, their content.
