Meeting of two Martinů Foundations

On September 13, 2025, the first ever meeting between representatives of the Martinů Stiftung Basel and the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation took place in Basel, Switzerland. The Swiss foundation was represented by Katja Schott-Morgenroth, Dr. Lukas Alioth, and Dr. Andri La Roche, while the Czech foundation was represented by the chairman of the board of trustees, Prof. Vít Zouhar, the chairman of the supervisory board, Pavel Solský, and the director of the foundation, Irvin Venyš.

The meeting followed a concert by the Irvin Cimbalom Band, which opened the 40th anniversary season of the Kammermusik um halb acht concert series organized by Beatrix and Marek Jerie. Several works by Bohuslav Martinů will be performed as part of this series, which will feature a number of leading Czech performers in 2026.
