Prof Václav Riedlbauch sadly passed away

Václav Riedlbauch was a music manager, composer, pedagogue and significant figure of Czech cultural life. He was artistic director of the opera of the National Theatre in Prague, director of the Czech Philharmonic and Minister of Culture. Riedlbauch was a professor of composition at the Faculty of Music, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, this departement was led by him from 1990 to 2004. He also co-founded departement of Arts management at the University of Economics in Prague.
The Bohuslav Martinů Foundation and Institute deeply regret the loss of this long-time promoter of the music of Bohuslav Martinů.
