Prof Zuzana Růžičková 91st birthday tribute events

Several events commemorating prof Zuzana Růžičková, who passed away last year, will take place in Prague on January 14th. Held at the Maisel Synagogue or Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, the events mark what would have been Mrs Růžičková’s 91st birthday.

Zuzana Růžičková was closely related to the music of Bohuslav Martinů whole life, recorded, for example, his Concerto for Harpsichord and Small Orchestra, H 246 (released by Supraphon) and her husband Viktor Kalabis was a long-time chairman of the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation and, basically, the founder of the Bohuslav Martinů Institute.
