Bohuslav Martinů Days 2019 will show the genre variety of the composer's work

The Bohuslav Martinů Days, running from 24 November to 17 December this year, will offer twelve performances of some of the most prominent artists of the Czech and international music scenes.

The festival will welcome renowned soloist such as violinist Josef Špaček with pianist Pallavi Mahidhara, sopranist Marie Fajtová, oboist Vladislav Borovka, violinist Leoš Čepický, clarinetist Jan Mach, and pianist Martin Kasík, among others. Chamber music ensembles performing in Prague will be Czech Nonet, Trio Bergerettes, or Trio Incendio, winner of the last year’s Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Competition, which will be part of the festival once again this year. Martinů’s music will also be celebrated by subscription concerts of the Czech Chamber Music Society, the Prague Radio Orchestra, Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra and the Prague Castle Guard Band.
