Double Martinů live on Mezzo TV
From January 22 to 24, Rudolfinum will belong almost exclusively to Bohuslav Martinů. Three concerts by the Czech Philharmonic, conducted by Chief Conductor Semyon Bychkov, will offer Symphony No. 2 "Le Double" by Henri Dutilleux and two compositions by Bohuslav Martinů: Concerto for Two Pianos performed by sisters Marielle and Katie Labèque and Double Concerto for Two String orchestras, Piano and Timpani with Ivo Kahánek and Michael Kroutil. The concert will be broadcast live on Friday by the prestigious French television channel Mezzo Live HD. It will be made possible by advanced technology that was installed in the Dvořák Hall last season.
