Bohuslav Martinů Days 2021 | Josef Suk Piano Quartet

The Josef Suk Piano Quartet has prepared a wonderful selection of twentieth-century compositions for the ensemble. The evening will be welcomed in by the post-Romantic Fantasy of the British composer Frank Bridge, followed by the ever-distinctive modernistic style of Martinů and the subsequent generation of Czech composers represented by Viktor Kalabis. The parting piece returns to post-Romanticism again and the ensemble’s namesake, Josef Suk.
