Current exhibitions

These days, it is possible to visit two music exhibitions, which also present the work of Bohuslav Martinů.

The Municipal Museum and Gallery Polička commemorates the 140th anniversary of its founding. For this occasion, it has prepared an exhibition called Museum Yesterday and Today, which presents not only the history of the museum, but also a variety of museum work. It also recalls older exhibitions dedicated to Bohuslav Martinů or the gradual building of the composer's extensive collection. You can visit the exhibition in Polička until 3 April 2022.

The Czech Museum of Music in Prague currently has a playful exhibition called the Music Menagerie. It takes visitors large and small into a world where music blends with the animal kingdom. Not only illustrations, music notes and musical instruments will be on display – animals will be there too! Bohuslav Martinů's compositions inspired by the animal world are also mentioned here. The exhibition is open until 31 December 2022.
