Although Thomas Fortmann, Frank Martin, Lorenzo Palomo and Bohuslav Martinů have their own style and intellectual approach to music, their works are united by an immediate emotional power, a kind of force of nature. The two premieres of the evening are inspired by the elements of Andalusia and Costa Rica and promise a concertante fireworks display.
