Jakub Hrůša returns to the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischern Rundfunks with two impressive works by his Czech compatriot Bohuslav Martinů that have never been on the BRSO’s program before: “Les fresques de Piero della Francesca” and Symphony No. 1. In between the two Martinů rarities, star violinist Lisa Batiashvili performs Jean Sibelius’ deeply melancholic but also highly virtuosic Violin Concerto.
The concerts will take place on March 2/3 & 4 at the Isarphilharmonie. BR-KLASSIK will broadcast the concert live on the radio on Friday and as a video livestream here on the concert page.
