Spring Picnic Concert at the Enchanted Spring

What is it like when spring awakens? And what if spring oversleeps? That couldn't possibly happen.

In the garden below Prague Castle, the Prague Philharmonic Choir led by conductor Lukáš Kozubík will awaken not only spring, but something much more important, with a fairytale story and musical spells. Singing fairies and daisies, a maypole, and even the queen of spring await visitors, along with the music of Bohuslav Martinů, Zdeněk Lukáš, Antonín Dvořák, and others. The fairytale concert will be hosted by Klára Boudalová, with singing by the Prague Philharmonic Choir and playing by members of the Czech Philharmonic and the Orchestral Academy of the Czech Philharmonic.

Visitors can arrive at the garden early - before the concert, there will be music workshops set up throughout the garden for everyone to enjoy. Children will learn to play on grass, find out why the real spring whistle must be pounded, and how to make a flute out of weeds from Stromovka.

Program:

Jaro se otvírá / Zdeněk Lukáš
