NSO Chamber Concerts | Oboe Quartet

The Taiwan Philharmonic (National Symphony Orchestra – NSO) Chamber Music Series will present a concert devoted primarily to Czech music. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., Bohuslav Martinů’s Quartet for Oboe, Violin, Cello, and Piano, H 315, will be performed at the National Recital Hall in Taipei.

The concert program, subtitled “Dancing Bohemian,” features works by Central European composers with an emphasis on rhythm and dance. The afternoon will open with Eduard Schütt’s late-Romantic cycle Walzer-Märchen, Op. 54, for piano trio. This will be followed by Bohuslav Martinů’s neoclassical oboe quartet, which the composer wrote in 1947 in New York. The concert will conclude with Antonín Dvořák’s monumental Piano Trio No. 3 in F minor, Op. 65.
