Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Competition 2017 starts today

22nd Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Competition 2017 will be held during 23rd and 26th of November at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. This year, 27 young musicians from Czech Republic and Slovakia will compete in two royal categories: voice and cello. The jury, composed of the most renowned Czech pedagogues, soloists and chamber musicians, can look forward to the best of what the young generation can currently offer.

The winners will receive, in addition to the standard prizes, the award for the best performance of Bohuslav Martinů's work, the Viktor Kalabis Prize for the best performance, and also the Prize of Přemysl Pražák (voice) or Jaroslav and Zorka Zichová Prize (cello). Prize of the Harmonie Magazine will be personally handed over by the representatives of the magazine during the concert of the laureates in the Martinů Hall on November 26th.
