Prestigious German music awards were received by Jakub Hrůša and harpsichordist Esfahani.

Opus Klassik Awards are considered one of the most prestigious honors in the field of classical music. Their presentation is associated with a careful selection process by an expert jury that takes into account not only recordings available on the German market but also reviews in professional periodicals. This year, Opus Klassik awards are also making their way to the Czech Republic. Among the recipients are conductor Jakub Hrůša and harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani.

Mahan Esfahani, an Iranian-American harpsichordist currently residing in the Czech Republic, also emerged as a winner in the Opus Klassik competition. Esfahani, a student of the renowned Zuzana Růžičková, received the award for his recording of harpsichord concertos by Bohuslav Martinů, Hans Krása, and Viktor Kalabis, recorded in collaboration with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alexander Liebreich.

The prestigious Opus Klassik Awards ceremony will take place on October 8th in Berlin, where all the laureates will gather to receive their well-deserved trophies.

We extend our best wishes to Jakub Hrůša, Mahan Esfahani, and all the other Opus Klassik winners for many more artistic successes and unforgettable musical experiences.
