Bohuslav Martinu Competition 2015 in the field of piano
The Bohuslav Martinu Foundation Interpretation Competition
The competition is open only to candidates from the Czech and Slovak Republic, or for foreign candidates studying in Czech Republic.
The interpretation competition has been a part of the annual Bohuslav Martinu Festival since the year 1996.
Young musicians are offered an opportunity to compete in the three following fields:
1) piano
2) string instruments (violin and cello)
3) chamber music (piano trio and a string quartet).
Every annual is focused on one of these categories.
The point of the contest is to interpret works by Bohuslav Martinu, emphasizing the historical connections and relationships with Martinu's work and character.
