New issue of Martinů Revue 3.2016 is out!
Most notably excerpts from Nigel Simeone’s review of the first two volumes of the Bohuslav Martinů Complete Edition (The Epic of Gilgamesh, Symphony No. 4) for the prestigious international music magazine NOTES, second part of the Jiří Bělohlávek’s portrait by Jakub Hrůša and an interview with pianist Ivo Kahánek about Bohuslav Martinů.
Martinů Revue 3.2016 also features information about research on Martinů: Tully Potter’s article about American violinist William Kroll who premiered Martinů’s String Sextet, H 224 and String Quartet No. 7 (Concerto da Camera), H 314 and a study by Anne van Malderen about Pro Arte Quartet to which Martinů has dedicated the Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestra, H 207.
