Mr. Gregory Terian died at the age of 92

Mr. Gregory Terian, beloved friend of the International Martinů Circle and its founding chairman, passed away on 17th October 2023 at the age of 92. The author of many articles about Bohuslav Martinů, Greg's captivating blend of expertise and affability ensured that the IMC was a great success at its launch over 20 years ago.

It was also his suggestion to choose the then little-known conductor Jakub Hrůša as the honorary IMC president.  Greg was unfailingly supportive of new initiatives to promote Martinů's music and the IMC continued to benefit from his wise counsel long after he relinquished the chairmanship.

The Bohuslav Martinů Foundation and Institute, and all at the International Martinů Circle send their deepest sympathy to Greg's family and friends.  We will look back at his long and distinguished service in the cause of Bohuslav Martinů in future issues of the Revue.
